Embracing Spring Equinox Energy

Spring Is The Perfect Time To Romanticize Your Life And Manifest Your Ideal Future

Happy first day of spring! Today is the Solar New Year, and similar to Mondays and the first of the month, the energy accompanying the resetting of the solar cycle is rejuvenating, inspiring us to cultivate new goals and pursue our dream lifestyles.

The Astrological Significance of the Spring Equinox

There’s a reason the spring equinox generates a tangible energy of change, and it’s written in the stars - literally.

The term “equinox” derives from the Latin words “aequi” and “nox” meaning “equal night,” making it a fitting description for the spring and autumn equinoxes, which are the two times within the Earth’s orbit when the planet crosses the celestial equator and both hemispheres experience an equal amount of sunlight and darkness.

After the cold season of hibernation and rest here in the northern hemisphere, the vernal equinox marks the transition from winter to spring as nature awakens from its slumber and blossoms into new life.

It fascinates me that the symbolism of this time of harmony and balance, before the days grow longer, has been embraced by cultures across the world for millennia, and I hope to connect with the human experience of this natural season of growth by treating the spring equinox as a second chance to embrace January 1st energy.

The New Year Energy of Spring

The beginning of spring symbolizes the awakening of nature as we get more daylight each day, making it the perfect time to introduce new goals into your life that align more harmoniously with your ideal self.

I’m not suggesting you give up your January 1 resolutions and manifestations. Trust me, I’ll forever be a lover of the collective reset we humans partake in year after year.

Instead, I prefer to think of the Spring Equinox as a New Year’s Part 2, allowing a second chance for goal setting if your first attempt didn't go so well in January.

Here are some ways I plan to embrace the energy of renewal this spring season:

  • Journal and daydream about my ideal life

  • Identify areas I can take action that will move me toward my goals

  • Review the New Year’s resolutions I set in January

  • Update my 2024 vision board

Just as spring seedlings must spread their roots before they sprout their leaves to the sky, I plan to cherish my season of exploration first by grounding myself and refining my vision for the trajectory of my future.

Spring Is A Season For Romanticizing Life

We live in a digital age where self-comparison of an unnatural magnitude sabotages our inner peace if we aren't intentional with our boundaries.

One of my biggest goals to combat that reality is to prioritize the art of romanticizing my life in the tiniest, most attainable, yet meaningful ways possible, and the new spring season feels like the perfect time for beautiful changes to bloom.

We can begin to live our dream lives today, not just in the future once X, Y, and Z happens, by making the moment special now.

I have spent too much of my past limiting my happiness in silly, trivial ways, so here is how I’ve been turning a new leaf and romanticizing my present moment:

  • Using my favorite wine glasses for my daily water or smoothies rather than waiting for a special occasion

  • Writing my scrappy morning pages in a gorgeous journal I’ve left untouched for 13 years (I wish I was kidding)

  • Decluttering my physical, digital, and mental spaces until they are only occupied by items I love and need

  • Exploring abandoned hobbies from my childhood to rediscover what lights me up

  • Illuminating the evenings with a soft-lit lamp instead of overhead lighting

  • Picking wildflowers from the garden to brighten up the house

Taking a few tiny actions can lead to monumental happiness, which is why I plan to implement these ideas to foster a human experience I adore.

Practicing Gratitude This Spring

While spring is an excellent time to embrace change and manifest a future that excites you, it is always essential to stay grounded and practice gratitude for all of the blessings that currently exist in your life.

Tips for adding gratitude practices to your schedule:

  • Tell your loved ones you love them, often

  • Send thank you notes

  • Write lists of all the things you are grateful for, no matter how huge or tiny

  • Take care of your belongings (refresh>replace, if possible)

  • Practice self-care every day

Prioritizing gratitude today is one of the most tangible ways to improve your life in an instant. After all, what could be more romantic than showing appreciation for all the beauty around you?

The birth of the spring season generates energy that aligns with fresh beginnings. If you have been yearning for a sign from the universe to align your actions and pursue a fresh path that you find both fulfilling and meaningful, then I hope my approach to spring equinox manifestation inspires you to romanticize your life today.
